Why I Ride ...
Fighting cancer isn't just my day job. I've been committed to supporting cancer research and the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute for the past several years by riding the PMC.
Every year, the reasons for wanting to help DFCI change and increase. Previously, I've ridden in memory of my dad, who passed from AML in 2021. This year hits literally 'close to home' as I will be riding in memory of Suzane, my beautiful wife, who was diagnosed with ovarian carcinosarcoma at the end of 2022 and left us at the end of April. Last year I joined Team Ovarian Cancer - to help support research into the causes and treatments of ovarian cancer and this year, I'm back to ride and support Dr. Ursula Matulonis and her team who did so much to care for my wife and so many other patients.
I ride to support the faculty and staff who cared for my father and my wife at DFCI, and the researchers who explore options for treatments and cures. I ride for my friends and family who have been through their own cancer journeys. I ride for the friends and colleagues (past and present) who - like me - work to develop treatments that may hopefully change the course of patients' lives.
Please support me and the PMC by donating.
