update 2022:

This year I'll be riding locally with Bikes Fight Cancer in June. Please join me in supporting the PMC & Dana Farber. I'll be volunteering the Sunday of PMC weekend in Brewster. It will be my 14th year being involved in the PMC!

My mother & I have been volunteering 10+ years for a number of organizations that advance the fight against cancer. When we sat down during the summer of 2011 to reflect on the volunteering & work of these organizations, we realized just between the two of us we were able to name more than a dozen people who have been affected by cancers - far too many people. I am once again riding as part of the PMC this year to make a difference.

I'm riding to honor the memories of Lillian Miller, Israel Newman, Barnett Miller, Cindy Johnson, Felicia Shpall, Lydia Ruel, Jonathan Simonini, Michael Ford, David Blackerby, John Nunley, Maury Simonds, Deborah Frey, Marjorie Cohen, Elizabeth Whyte, Edmond Farber, Joan Hastings, Hilda M. Since 2009 I have been volunteering at stops along the cycling route. I left my volunteering shift each year saying that at some point I would have to actually ride the route - I wanted to do more. This was 2 years ago - I joined a local team in riding in the PMC to increase my commitment both financially and by contributing to the collective energy of the event and the cause. Cycling is not just about exercise, it's a way of life. Biking is community building and giving back. I would be honored if you would help me give back by making a donation to support the Jimmy Fund & the Dana Farber Cancer Institute.

I'm a proud supporter of the PMC because it is leading a charge to beat cancer. In fact, last year 100% of rider-raised revenue went directly to support the Jimmy Fund and Dana-Farber Cancer Institute's tireless commitment to finding a cure.
