Why I Ride ...

My mother, Margaret McMullin, dedicated her life to helping others. She worked in the medical field for 44 years, the majority of those working specifically in oncology.

She spent 24 years working at the Dana Farber Cancer Institute helping thousands of patients battle this terrible disease. Unfortunately, she lost her battle last fall with esophageal cancer. Throughout her battle we worked to raise money both for DFCI via PMC unpaved, and also for esophageal cancer research at MGH. She was so proud, constantly checking the progress and the names of the contributors until the very end.

This year, I am riding in the PMC from Sturbridge to Provincetown - almost 200 miles to continue to raise money in her honor. This event in August supports a great cause, helping to raise money to support the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute's tireless commitment to finding a cure.

100% of every dollar raised by riders goes directly to DFCI to support their mission.

So please join me in raising money in the name of my mother to do some good.
