PMC #4. LFG.
On August 3rd, I’ll be riding 90 miles in the Pan-Mass Challenge (PMC) alongside my dad, sister, and the rest of the Biker’s Dozen Team to help raise money to find a cure for cancer.
Since 1980, the PMC has contributed more than $970 million to cancer treatment and research at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute through its Jimmy Fund. To date, The Bikers Dozen has raised over $4.5 million.
After years of watching my dad and the rest of the Biker’s Dozen team ride in the PMC, I decided to ride in my first PMC in 2021. Riding in the PMC is one of the most rewarding and fulfilling experiences, and I can't wait to run it back for Year 4. This year, the Biker’s Dozen is 33-riders strong, including 15 second-generation riders like myself, ready to help kick cancer's ass.
Unfortunately, everyone seems to know somebody who has been affected by this horrible disease. While there is still no cure for cancer, it gives me inspiration knowing I have the ability to play a small part in funding Dana Farber’s efforts.
My personal goal for this year is $4,000 and I am truly grateful for any amount of support you are able to give. The Dana-Farber Cancer Institute is conducting life-saving cancer research and I am honored to be a part of this.
Thank you very much,
Jonathan Marsh
