Why I Ride ...
Why I ride.
I have been a longtime supporter of the Dana Farber Cancer Institute and Jimmy Fund. The Pan Mass Challenge is the top fundraiser for Dana Farber and 100% of rider raised funds go directly to Dana Farber for cancer research and treatment. Our goal this year is to raise $75 million and funds raised will surpass 1 billion dollars in the history of the PMC.
This year will be:
My 16th PMC as a rider
March was 6 years from my diagnosis of cancer.
November was the 5-year mark of end of treatment, and I was deemed cancer free!
At times seems so long ago, but then again.
The funds raised by the PMC enable Dana Farber to continue this amazing work improving treatments, extending life and in some cases curing cancer. This year, I will be riding from Wellesley to Provincetown (168 miles) on August 5th & 6th and my goal is to raise $7,000.
