My story is similar to so many of you – cancer has taken or altered the lives of too many family members and friends. The disease is devastating, it doesn’t discriminate, and it’s a leading cause of death in the US, second only to heart disease.
PMC is a Massachusetts-based bike-a-thon that raises more money for charity than any single athletic fundraising event in the country. The beneficiary is the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, a world leader in adult and pediatric cancer treatment and research.
Thanks to organizations like PMC, scientists, doctors, and healthcare professionals continue developing new treatments to find a cure. As a result of their commitment, the number of people winning their battle against cancer grows every day. Researchers need money to continue the fight. That's why we ride!
The cause and the PMC experience are why we keep coming back. This year, I'm riding the slightly shorter event—two days and 170 miles—from Wellesley, MA, to Provincetown, MA. The physical challenge, the event organization, the volunteers, and the coming together of so many people for a common cause are a rare experience!
In 2024, riders raised $74m, increasing the total raised since 1980 to $1.0B. We are on to $2.0B!!! Please be as generous as you can.
Please consider supporting The Pan-Mass Challenge (PMC)
If you are a business owner or part of a company's leadership team, please consider a significant donation to the PMC as part of your philanthropic efforts. Anyone who works for a company that has a charitable match program should apply for the match.
100% of rider-raised money goes directly to support the Jimmy Fund and Dana-Farber Cancer Institute's tireless commitment to finding a cure.
Thank you.
