I ride to give hope to those battling cancer.
I can’t believe this will be my fifth ride since we lost Mitch and 9th overall PMC. Mitch would have been 30 years old this August. The pain of his loss does not dim but knowing I am helping in the fight to find cures for cancer does help. Every dollar raised by riders goes directly to Dana Farber Cancer Institute. One thing I am eternally grateful for is that we live in MA where we have access to some of the best cancer treatments in the world. It helps knowing we did everything in our power to help Mitch fight this disease.
We all know someone who has been affected by cancer. By funding research by institutes like Dana Farber we help bring treatments and aid to those who are fighting this disease. The PMC is a two day, 192 mile bike ride, of which 100% of rider raised funds go directly to Dana Farber. Let's help fund this research so our loved ones can have more tools and more hope in their fight with this disease.
My son was a fighter right to the very end, always concerned about helping others, especially those going through a fight similar to his. He created the blog seriouslycancer.com to, in Mitch’s words, “use humor and a positive attitude to promote wellness and hope for all my fellow cancer-havers. I like to think that all my experience mixed with some wisdom and a bit of sarcasm can help others going through what I’m going through, and together we might just survive a little longer.” Please feel free to forward this link to anyone you think it could help.
Let’s help those battling cancer by finding new treatments and cures.
Please join me in the fight by donating to my ride. 100% of all rider generated funding goes directly to the Dana Farber Cancer Institute.
Finding a cure, Closer by the mile.
Thank you,
Jackie
