Why I Ride ...
In March of 2001 I was diagnosed with Neuro-Blastoma After a nine hour surgery, six months of chemotherapy and two months of radiation and many trips to Mass-General Hospital for transfusions Going through cancer has made me want to give back and to help in any way I can. I decided to ride in the PMC.
This year, Team Bikes Fight Cancer and myself will be participating in the PanMassChallenge to help raise money for the fight against cancer. We are asking friends, family and local businesses for support by making a monetary donation to help our team reach its fundraising goal.
In order to participate in the PMC each rider must choose one of eight routes that range from 70 to 192 miles and commit to raising a specific amount of money based upon the ride that they have chosen. Team Pedal Power has chosen the two day, 192mile ride from Sturbridge to Bourne to Provincetown and have committed to raising a minimum of $5000 each.
