Everyone who knows me knows of my mother’s battle with this disease. They know it’s a battle that she did not win. They know that she shaped me into the person that I am today and for this I’m forever grateful. When I started doing this ride it was something I wanted to do to honor her memory. I always wear my Grover jersey (her favorite Sesame Street character) on the second day of the ride to remember her. This year will be my 13th year participating in this event and when I reach my fundraising goal, we will have raised over $100K for this incredible organization.

You can see the two beautiful girls that our my cover photo. I do this ride for them. I hope that through these efforts, and the money raised, that a cure will be found for this terrible disease. We all have at least one story than involves cancer, maybe it’s a loved one who lost or maybe that they fought back hard and won. I’m hoping that my two girls won’t have one of these stories. I’m hoping that the only ones they know may be from the past.
