Why I Ride ...
In 2019, my cousin Katie was diagnosed with soft-tissue sarcoma, while she was pregnant with her first child. In September, she had her leg amputated above the knee and in October, her beautiful daughter was delivered early so that Katie could start chemotherapy. In the past year, Katie has learned to walk again, gone through treatment, and taken care of a newborn. Simply put, she is the toughest person I know and my hero.
This year, the PMC looks different than in typical years. But cancer didn't take a break from the pandemic, so neither should the work to support research for a cure. In 2020, I will ride for the PMC to because it is leading a charge to beat cancer. In fact, last year 100% of rider-raised revenue went directly to support the Jimmy Fund and Dana-Farber Cancer Institute's tireless commitment to finding a cure.
