It’s that time of year again! ??????
On August 2nd-3rd, I will once again be cycling in the Pan-Mass Challenge —a two-day, 162-mile cycling event to raise funds and awareness for cancer research. Last year, I completed the ride in 10 hours and 29 minutes, and I’m ready to take on the challenge again.
My goal: To help find a cure for Multiple Myeloma, a cause that is deeply personal to me.
Why I ride:
Multiple Myeloma is the second most common blood cancer, with approximately 35,000 new cases diagnosed each year. Sadly, it is often detected too late, and there is currently no known cure.
In 2011, my mother was diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma. Fortunately, it was caught in its early stages. Over the past 14 years, I’ve watched her face this disease with extraordinary strength and resilience. From enduring countless treatments, managing nausea, and fighting through fatigue—she has never let cancer win.
Despite being given just 3–5 years to live, my mom is still going strong. In fact, she’s climbed all of New England’s 4,000-foot peaks—a true testament to her spirit. She is my hero and my inspiration, and it's her strength that drives me to complete every mile of this ride.
Fundraising goal:
$6,000, and with your support, I hope to surpass it. Every dollar raised goes directly to Dr. Anderson’s lab at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, funding vital research in the fight against Multiple Myeloma.
This ride is for you, Mom. I love you ??
