You are defying the odds that is what my oncologist told me at my last visit. Recurring relapsing lymphoma, throw in several severe infections, bone necrosis and life threatening pulmonary embolisms......that about sums up the last few years of my life. There is nothing easy about living with cancer! Oh yeah, I just celebrated my 75th birthday!
Team Guts and Gore: Debbie's 14th, Joel's 8th, Meredith's 3rd year. . Meredith, who has not done the full 2 day ride, convinced us to ride another year
We ride each year with heavy hearts for the numerous friends and colleagues who have passed away from, who are newly diagnosed or are wagging their own battles with cancer. We also ride for all those who have had success. We shed many tears during the ride, thinking of all these individuals. We wish everyone could experience the emotions of the PMC.
I hope you will consider making a contribution to the Dana Farber Cancer Center by clicking on my profile page (https://pmc.org/JG0453) or our team's donation page (https://pmc.org/TG0160) If you make an electronic contribution, you will receive a receipt via email.
Remember, because of your generosity, 100% of the donations we raise go directly to the Jimmy Fund. We have designated our monies to go to lymphoma research.
With a donation of $25 or more, you can save 5% on any new or existing Massachusetts MAPFRE Insurance policy. Once you donate, forward your receipt to your insurance provider.
Thank you in advance and keep your fingers crossed that the sun is out, but not too hot! To our supporters along the way and to pals at the finish line we are so appreciative. We are blessed with many generous contributors and grateful to be able to ride for the cure.
Joel, Debbie and Meredith
