Hi friends-
I hope you are well and enjoying the summer weather. Hard to believe but it is that time again. The PanMass is soon approaching and once again I feel blessed that I am able to ride to honor Jen and support the Jimmy Fund.
Since I began riding in 2017, the year Jen was diagnosed, Team Jen has collectively raised over $43,000! I feel like fundraising is now in my blood and I thank you so much for the generous support you have provided over the years. Unfortunately, the work is not done. Of course the ultimate goal is to eradicate cancer and give others the opportunity to enjoy life.
The reasons why I ride have not changed. I will be riding for my wife Jen who is the most courageous and inspiring person I have ever known. I will be riding to say thank you to the amazing staff at Dana Farber who treated her with respect and compassion, and finally I will be riding for every person who has been touched either directly or indirectly by cancer.
On August 6th/7th, I will join thousands of other cyclists in the 42nd Pan-Massachusetts Challenge, a bike-a-thon that raises money for cancer research at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute in Boston, where Jen received her treatment. Even during COVID last yeart, the virtual ride raised over $50 million by donating 100% of all rider raised funds to the DFCI.
I will be riding the 192 mile route from Sturbridge to Provincetown. To take part in the ride I need to raise a minimum of $8000 and I am asking for your help to achieve this goal.
