This year, I will be cycling the Pan-Mass Challenge (PMC). I have made a personal commitment to ride 85 miles from Wellesley to Bourne on August 6th as one of the riders of the 2023 PMC and raise $4,000.
The PMC's mission is to raise funds for cancer research and treatment at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. 100% of every rider-raised dollar goes directly to Dana-Farber. The PMC raises more money for charity than any other single event in the country, $900 million since 1980 and $69 million in 2022 alone! This success is the result of a lot of people riding for and caring about, a cure.
Recently two people I know have been diagnosed with cancer. In honor of them I will be splitting my donations between two amazing departments. The first is to support the Dana Farber Center for Esophageal and Gastric Cancer. The second is to support research to cure pediatric brain tumors with Stephanie Vail and our teammates on “Team Brainstorm”.
