I ride for my sister Leann
I'm a proud supporter of the PMC because it is leading a charge to beat cancer. Last year 100% of rider-raised revenue went directly to support the Jimmy Fund and Dana-Farber Cancer Institute's tireless commitment to finding a cure.
This is my 2nd year riding the PMC, last summer I did this ride for my sister, Leann (Downs) Taylor. Leann was diagnosed with Stage 4 colon cancer almost 2 years ago and had soon spread to her liver as well. Leann endured chemotherapy treatments and was approved for several trials throughout the course of her battle. Sadly, Leann passed away on February 3, 2025.
Leann was able to meet me at one of the water stops last year and was able to see for herself the enormity of the PMC and all that it does. I won't forget hugging her that day and I certainly won't forget about others just like her - fighting every day for more time.
