Dear Family and Friends,
This August, I will be riding in my first Pan Mass Challenge, a bike ride across Massachusetts that raises money for the Jimmy and Dana Farber Cancer Institute.
Unfortunately, cancer can affect everyone, no one is immune to it. This year, I will be riding in memory of my Grandma, Adrienne Deutsch, who passed away in December after a fearless, 2 year battle with lung cancer, as well as in honor of my nana, Lenore Dansker, who is a breast cancer survivor and who recently finished her intensive treatment for advanced skin cancer.
The PMC will be a family affair this year - I will be riding with both of my parents in addition to many members of my extended family. We are honored to be part of Team Perry; a team of over 70 riders. Perry Levy passed away at the age of 32, after a short, yet courageous battle with cancer of the small bowel. Shortly after his death, his family established the Perry S. Levy Fund for Gastrointestinal Cancer Research at the Dana Farber Cancer Institute. The fund supports the research efforts at Dana Farber to help them learn more about this rare and deadly cancer with the hope of finding a cure. All (100%) of the money that we raise for the PMC, will directly benefit the Perry S. Levy Fund for gastrointestinal cancer research. Perry was not much older than I am now. I am fortunate to have my health and am honored to be able to ride my bike to help support those who could only dream of doing the same.
Ok ... so here it comes. Please DONATE and know that no amount is too small, I really mean that. Any amount will be greatly appreciated! Please help make a difference in the fight against cancer!
They've made it easy - click the Donate to My Ride button to the right. OR if you would prefer to Venmo me - my handle is juliardeutsch.
Thank you!!!
