I am very excited to be riding in my 4th PMC in support of the Boston Fire Department Cancer Foundation. Every rider-raised dollar raised goes directly to the Jimmy Fund.

The Boston Fire Cancer Foundation is a 501 c3 nonprofit organization that raises money to support members of the Boston Fire Department who are diagnosed with occupational cancer. We provide both emotional and financial support to firefighters and their families. Through fundraising efforts, we hope to provide services to firefighters and families as needed. Our goal is to eliminate the daily stressors that come with a cancer diagnosis and provide supports to firefighters and their families through mentorship, financial supports, transportation, meal plans, and more.

Cancer has affected all of us. Over the past few years our department has lost some great firefighters to their fight with cancer. Specifically, we lost FF Matt Troy who I was fortunate to have served with in both the United States Marine Corps Reserves and on the Boston FD at the 'Big House'. Additionally, the strength and determination my wife displayed during her successful fight against breast cancer will motivator our team during this two-day challenge.

Know that every single dollar that we raise will have a direct impact in the fight against cancer. I thank you in advance for your support and our team is ready to build awareness for and raise funds in support of occupational cancer plaguing the fire service.
