This will be my twenty-nineth ride. I originally joined the PMC with a group of friends for the challenge of the ride. I return for the good cause and fun of the event.
I rode for eight years. Then broke my leg playing lacrosse and took a few years off. My return to the PMC was inspired by my cousin's battle with cancer. Thanks to research and treatment aided by PMC funds, he's doing well. Several of my brothers, a sister, my mother and several cousins have all been treated for various types of cancer and are doing well. I've also lost family and friends to the disease. We have a lot to learn and a lot of people to cure.
I'll be riding for family, friends and friends of friends. Money from my ride will go to Pedals for Pediatrics, which supports programs for children with cancer, and their families.
Although I'm getting slower, I enjoy the ride and appreciate the help of volunteers and donors. Thanks for your support. I hope to see you out on the road.
