In just 2 weeks I’ll be embarking on my 3rd Pan Mass Challenge with Team Courage-Coneheads!
As many of you know, my mom was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2004. At just nine years old, there is little that I remember of my mom's diagnosis and subsequent battle with breast cancer. Much of what I remember had little to do with the realities of what cancer can do to a person you love. I remember the home-cooked meals delivered by friends and neighbors, the trips with family, and the many weekends spent out of the house to let my mom rest. It wasn't until I was older that I realized the weight of what my mom had overcome; She is the strongest person I'll ever know. Because of her, my dad, and the outpouring of support our family received from loved ones, I came out of it all still feeling like a kid just happy to have his mom.
I could not be more grateful for my mom's continued health. As a 19-year survivor of breast cancer, she will be my reason on every mile. Together, we will get closer by the mile to a world without cancer.
I've made a personal commitment to raise $8,000 and I hope you can help me reach this goal. No matter the amount, every dollar counts, and your contribution would mean so much to me. I truly appreciate your consideration and support for this incredible cause. If you know anyone else who may want to support feel free to share!
