Why I Ride ...
On the first weekend in August, Wally & I will join with 5,500 cyclists in this year's PMC ride. This will be my 3rd time riding & Wally's 5th! For me, this is a physical challenge I feel honored to be able to take on. As I train & ride I am inspired by all those I know who are bravely battling this disease.
This year Wally & I have witnessed cancer touching several people that we care about dearly. We are riding to honor the memory of my strong & beautiful Aunt, Elly Esler, who just this month lost her battle with pancreatic cancer. We are also riding to honor those who still continue their battle, like our great friend, 5 year old Brennan Burnett, who has been bravely battling leukemia for the past 2 years. My ride is one small way that I can join with them and their families in their fight against cancer.
Wally & I have committed to raise $7,500 for Dana Farber Cancer Institute this year. We need your help to make it to our goal! And because every penny matters in the fight against cancer,100 percent of your donation goes directly to Dana Farber Cancer Institute.
