Dear Friends -

This year I ride again with, and for, my strong, resilient friend Stacy, our fearless Team Opa Opa captain. She is almost two years out of treatment and is living a meaningful, vibrant and health-focused life. I also ride this year for my friend Kate, who's fighting pancreatic cancer with all her might. And laslty, I ride for my friend Lucy, who survived stage 4 lung cancer for 8 years and sadly succumbed to it a month ago. Team Opa Opa, a boisterous group of friends and family members is riding 50 miles on Sunday, August 4th with the same enthusiasm and excitement as we have for the last two years.

As much research and funding that goes on at Dana Farber, there are still too many new cases of cancer showing up each and every day. I write again to ask for your support. I know that many of you support multiple riders so whatever you choose to do is perfect. And, just to remind you: 100% of the proceeds go to the Dana Farber Cancer Institute. Like last year, Stacy is earmarking her funds for her phenomenal DF lymphoma doctors and their research team. Each year, Team Opa Opa raises a whopping amount of $$$, so we’re hoping to beat that amount this year. Every penny goes directly to the fund, so please share whatever you can. It's very humbling to be a rider this year as the PMC passes the billion dollar mark for funds raised to date. Just extraordinary!
