Why I Ride ...
On August 12th, 1991, my life changed. It started at our son's pediatrician's office when he noticed that something was wrong to being admitted to the Dana Farber Cancer floor at Boston Children's Hospital just one day later. He appeared to be just as healthy as his twin sister, but we had to come to terms that he may never see his third birthday. I was scared, helpless and frantic to find ways to help my son, and all the other children also on that floor. One does not really know how much you love your children until you imagine life without them.
We were fortunate because a donor gave money to Dana Farber Cancer Institute years before and research teams found a way to cure the cancer in some of the children that were inflicted with the type of cancer my son had. Thank you for considering being that donor that will help save another father's son at some point in the future.
