Why I Ride ...
I ride in memory of Diane Legg, a courageous 20-year lung cancer survivor who was like a second mother to me. Diane's strength and resilience throughout her battle inspired me every day. She lived life fully, and one of my fondest memories of cycling is riding through Harrison, Maine with Diane, her husband Dave, and my parents. Those rides were more than just cycling trips—they were moments of laughter, bonding, and pure joy in the midst of beautiful landscapes. Diane’s zest for life and her unwavering support of others shaped who I am today, and her passing reminds me of the importance of supporting cancer research. She had such passion for the PMC and everyone who was involved, I know her legacy will continue to live on and I am proud to ride to support Diane's legacy and progressing the future of Cancer treatment.
This is my first year riding in the PMC and I hope to bring even a fraction of the positivity, passion, love, and commitment that Diane brought to this event and to this community. Diane’s spirit lives on through the miles ridden by those who ride in her honor, and through the hope that one day, no one will have to face the battle she did.
Thank you for reading my story! Any and all donations directly impact and support research for the Dana Farber Cancer Institute and their mission to finding a cure. Please donate to my PMC fundraising and help me reach my fundraising goal.
