Year 6.
I am so excited for the opportunity to ride in the PMC again this year alongside my teammates at Team Q. The PMC has been a big part of my family's summers for years now, and I am grateful to carry on the tradition.
Like many others, my PMC story is routed in honoring the memory of loved ones.
In 2016, I set out to ride my first PMC in honor of my late uncle, Richard Quitadamo. Uncle Richie passed away from Stage Four Sarcoma in 2013, after a long battle with this awful disease. For those who knew and loved Richard, the PMC played a huge role in his life for almost 20 years. My family lives on the route, so every year we would walk down our driveway, and watch him go by, his smile illuminating the early morning sky as he went.
Now, over ten years after his passing, I have the pleasure of riding under his name, and with his son. Bradley and I hope that Team Q honors Uncle Richie's memory and reminds us all that even during the most difficult situations, hope remains.
Thank you all for your continued support over the years.
