Hi everyone! I am thrilled to be a small part of a huge effort for my sixth year, and the Pan-Mass Challenge's 35th year. This year, I will once again be riding with the General Catalyst Team. I am riding because cancer is a disease that has no bias for who it chooses, has affected every single one of us either directly or with someone that you love, and I could not be happier to raise money for such a great cause. I am riding in memory of my late grandfather, Henry, who is missed dearly, and to find a cure for everyone else currently being affected by cancer.
Today, the Pan-Mass Challenge raises more money for charity than any other single event in the country, with a goal of $76 million this year after the lifetime total raised last year was brought to over $1 billion for the PMC! There are many great charities out there, but none are as impactful in the fight against cancer as the PMC. Every dollar raised goes directly to cancer research through the Jimmy Fund and Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. 100%, there is no taking off the top for overhead, which I find admirable and so important for everyone involved.
This year, my goal is to raise $4,000 to help in the battle against cancer. I am a little over a quarter of the way to my goal! It is more important than ever that we continue to fundraise, given the current state of the world that we live in. Any donation, no matter how small or large, will help get me to my goal and give those in need a second chance. I sincerely appreciate your donations, and thank you for your support!
