I am excited to join my son-in-law (Kyle Noble), his family and friends in the PAN-Mass Challenge on August 3rd and 4th. Kyle and Team Noble Effort have a long tradition of participating in this annual fundraiser (Learn more about Kyle's father and the Team Noble Effort here).
Each year, the Team Noble Effort fundraising is directed to the Michael C. Noble Pancreatic Research Fund, managed by the brilliant Dr. Brian Wolpin at Dana Farber Cancer Institute, who is leading the charge in pancreatic cancer research and driving breakthroughs in knowledge and treatment worldwide. These crucial scientific advancements are hard to come by, but Dr. Wolpin and his team have made a world of difference to countless families. We all know family and friends that are suffering or lost their lives to cancer. For some of you receiving this invitation, you know who I am talking about because they are common friends of ours.
I have come out of a long retirement from cycling to train and prepare for this ride. The cause and event focused on cancer research is new to me, however, I have participated in past fundraising efforts for muscular sclerosis and AIDS in the past. I am motivated to help with this specific effort because ongoing research into cancer is critical.
As I complete my training and prepare to travel to Boston, I am asking for your support to reach my fundraising goal for this worthy cause.
