I'm riding in remembrance of my sister Jenny (Jen to everyone else but us West Coast Polks). Jenny was taken from us on January 2nd, 2019 after a long battle with metastatic breast cancer. She was one of the most wonderful, loving souls that I know.
I'm also riding in remembrance of my father-in-law Steve and his fight with pancreatic cancer, which he succumbed to on 9/11/2020. Steve was an extremely loving and kind person with exceedingly raunchy jokes; he was a lobster-roll loving mensch, and we miss him dearly.
