This August, we are joining 6500 riders for the Pan Mass Challenge (PMC), a 160+ mile event to support cancer research. This will be Glenn’s 30th and Terry’s 27th year. We ride as part of the Patriot Platelet Pedalers, supporting highly successful research developing new therapies for multiple myeloma and other cancers. We’re celebrating family and friends who have benefited from this research, like Bixton, a thriving toddler in remission from Wilms tumor. We also ride to honor those we have lost to cancer and your loved one’s names written on our bike.  And this year we are riding in support of our friend Emma Laskey, who recenlty began treatment for breast cancer.

Based on your feedback, we are sweetening the mix this year, but a sugar-free variety is still available. Family news: Our daughters are thriving -  Jackie completed a Masters in Deaf Education last year and continues to enjoy teaching preschoolers at the Rochester School for the Deaf. Lena is enjoying her job with NASA in Huntsville, AL and recenlty traveled to Nepal to help develop space imaging applications for small-scale farmers.  Both girls are serious cyclists and love getting out on the road as much as their parents.  We are both immersed in volunteer work, helping to complete the 104 mi. MA Central Rail Trail (Boston to Northampton) and improving the water quality of our local rivers and ponds- when we are not biking.
