Last year was another amazing year!! The PMC raised 75 MILLION dollars on its way to passing the 1 BILLION dollar mark since its inception! Our team was able to raise a record breaking amount of money- OVER 1.4 MILLION!! I had another great year and raised over $17,000 thanks to you who generously donated! This year will be my 9th year riding and my commitment is stronger than ever to help fund finding a cure for cancer.
I am so grateful to all of the people who dedicate themselves to raise money for such an awesome cause and get on their bike and ride hundreds of miles, to all the volunteers who donate their time and to the thousands of people who support the riders along the way! I am grateful for being able to be a part of Team FLAMES and what they have meant to our family. It truly does take an army to get through when someone you love is diagnosed with cancer and our family is so grateful to all of Ady’s Army and the entire PMC family.
Why do I ride? The answer hasn’t changed and never will. I ride for my biggest inspiration and hero, my daughter Ady; and for the bravery shown by her sister, Avery. The strength and bravery Ady had through her entire grueling 2 years of treatment and the strength Avery found to support her sister every single day is something we could never come close to explaining. I also ride for all of the brave and courageous fighters and survivors that have fought this fight; to honor the memories of those we know and love; for the oncology doctors and nurses who have devoted their lives to helping saving Ady’s and work tirelessly to ensure she, and others, WILL live the life they are meant to; and to support the best minds in cancer research so that treatments today will save the lives of ones YOU love tomorrow.
This year I will dedicate my ride to my friend, Ann, who lost her courageous fight this past year.
Of course no annual PMC post would be complete without a quick Ady update… she had another clean bill of health at her most recent check-up at Dana Farber/The Jimmy Fund in November and follow ups are yearly at this point! She is in her junior year and had a great fall soccer season. She continues to kill it in school and the the preliminary college searches will begin in the spring! We could never be more thankful for the incredible people and the money raised through efforts like the PMC that have given her this life.
100% of rider-raised revenue goes directly to support the Jimmy Fund and Dana-Farber Cancer Institute's tireless commitment to finding a cure!
This August, together we will ride for Ady, Ann, Team FLAMES, and for each and every single person impacted by this disease, getting one step closer to the day that no innocent child, person or family will have to endure this fight.
If you are able, please join me, in helping fight this battle against cancer, every single dollar will help make a difference! Thank you for your support, your generosity in donating and sharing my page!
