When I was diagnosed with stage II Hodgkin’s lymphoma in February 2018, my world ground to a halt. Through six grueling months of chemotherapy, I battled nausea, fatigue, and despair. Yet, what was even more challenging was seeing my parents, my pillars of strength, helplessly worry about me. My dad channeled that emotion into training for his first Pan-Mass Challenge 2018. His drive to raise over $18,000 in only one month for the Jimmy Fund and Dana Farber mirrored the resilience I needed to fight my own battle. Because of riders like him, the research and care that saved my life were available.
Now, seven years cancer-free and in remission, I'm determined to pay it forward. I am returning to Team Perini to ride the 186-mile Sturbridge to Provincetown! Childhood cancer, once a death sentence, now sees many survivors like me facing new challenges. The David B. Perini, Jr. Quality of Life Clinic at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, supported by Team Perini and the Perini Family, has been pivotal in helping me and countless others navigate life after cancer.
I owe my health and hope to the care I received at the Jimmy Fund-Dana Farber and the pioneering research it supports.
Please consider supporting my second ride as I strive to raise $15,000. Your contribution, no matter the size, will make a meaningful impact in the fight against cancer.
Thank you for standing with me and supporting this crucial cause.
