I am deeply honored to be getting my 200 miles in (this year from California, due to being 8 months pregnant) for the 6th year in a row, on the CRUS11TOUR team in memory of our dear family friend, Davey Hovey, who passed away after a 16-month battle with Stage IV Glioblastoma Multiforme, at the mere age of 26.
Davey leaves behind an incredible legacy – one that has raised $5.5M+ for directly improving and saving the lives of thousands at the Dana Farber Cancer Institute. He will always remain as a source of inspiration and goodness to me and my family, and I'm very proud to represent him when I put on the #11 jersey. In Davey's words, we must Keep the Faith!
I also ride in memory of: Paul Simeon, Sue Pytka, Maureen O'Shea, Steph Smith, Julie Verrengia, Jacqueline Beck, my grandparents, and so many others that were taken, or greatly affected, far too soon by this vicious disease.
I ride in honor of: my Mom, my Dad, and so many more that have privately battled this disease in their lifetime or continue to battle.
