I am deeply honored to be riding, for the 6th year in a row, on the CRUS11TOUR team in memory of our dear family friend, Davey Hovey, who passed away after a 16-month battle with Stage IV Glioblastoma Multiforme, at the mere age of 26.
Davey leaves behind an incredible legacy – one that has raised $5.5M+ for directly improving and saving the lives of thousands at the Dana Farber Cancer Institute. He will always remain as a source of inspiration and goodness to me and my family, and I'm very proud to represent him when I put on the #11 jersey. In Davey's words, we must Keep the Faith!
I also ride in memory of: Sue Pytka, Maureen O'Shea, Steph Smith, Julie Verrengia, Jacqueline Beck, my grandparents, and so many others that were taken, or greatly affected, far too soon by this vicious disease.
I ride in honor of: my Mom, my Dad, Paul Simeon, and so many more that have privately battled this disease in their lifetime or continue to battle.
