I ride for Ellie Kavalieros. When I was young, Ellie was one of my best friends. She grew up only right down the street from me and was infatuated with art which she would try to get me to do despite my stubborness. When she was in elementary school she was diagnosed with DIPG which is a devastating brain tumor. At my age of eight I didn't understand how sick she truly was. My last memory of her was us drawing and painting at her dinner table. Ellie ultimately lost her battle with DIPG at eleven years old. This year, I have my first oppourtinity to ride and join the Biker's Dozen team riding alongside Mr. Kavalieros, Ellie's sister Mila, and many others celebrating Ellie's life and raising money to fight and to find a cure for DIPG. With your support we can push closer and closer to discovering that cure and celebrating Ellie in the process.
