Dear Friends,
On August 2nd, I’ll be back in the saddle after a hiatus to ride in PMC 2025. We’ll be cycling nearly 90 miles alongside thousands of others to raise money for cancer research. This year, I’m especially proud that my oldest son, Gunner — who adored Ellie — will be joining me in her honor.
I don’t think I know anyone whose life hasn’t been affected by cancer. I’ll be riding for everyone I know who has been touched by it — but especially to support DIPG research.
In 2011, a lifelong friend lost his daughter, Ellie, to pediatric brain cancer. In her memory, the Ellie Kavalieros DIPG Research Fund was established at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. The Kavalieros family has made it their life’s mission to help defeat this disease, with the support of Dana-Farber’s world-class researchers. (Recent annual report attached.)
My ride supports Dana-Farber’s groundbreaking work — work that saves lives not just here, but around the world. Dana-Farber is one of the top three cancer centers globally and, in the last decade, has contributed to nearly one in four FDA-approved cancer drugs in the U.S. The Pan-Mass Challenge (PMC) is Dana-Farber’s largest single contributor, accounting for 66% of the Jimmy Fund’s annual revenue.
This year, I’ve committed to raising $10,000 — and 100% of it will go directly to Dana-Farber. The PMC’s overall goal is $76 million. My ride — and your support — will help reach that.
Thank you for considering a contribution to this effort.
Greg
