Why I Ride ...
2024 will be my 8th year riding the Pan-Mass Challenge. Starting with the first mile of my first year riding the PMC I quickly came to understand what makes this such an inspiring and impactful fundraising event. While riding from Sturbridge or Wellesley to Provincetown in past years I’ve met many other riders, 1st timers and relative newbies like myself and many 10, 20, 30 and even 30+ year riders who all share a common goal of finding a cure and caring for those battling cancer. I’ve been inspired by the many survivors I’ve met who were participating in or volunteering for the ride and by the incredible community of volunteers and riders committed to fighting cancer.
This year I ride in memory of my uncle Mike Kinney who lost his courageous battle with cancer earlier this year and in support of the friends and family who have lost or are caring for loved ones and for all who are fighting this terrible disease. I look forward to riding from Wellesley to Provincetown with my PCT (Parlor Clearhaven Partners Tidemark) teammates.
I've made a personal commitment to ride and raise $15,000.00 to help reach the PMC goal of $75 million this year and over $1,000,000,000 since 1980. I hope you will consider a donation in support of my ride and help us surpass the $1 billion milestone. 100% of every rider raised dollar goes directly to Dana-Farber to advance cancer research and treatment.
