On August 3rd & 4th, I will ride in my Fourth Pan Mass Challenge. I will be riding the 186 mile two-day Sturbridge to Provincetown route as a member of Team Crank. Our team is receiving the $500,000 matching grant from the Warren Alpert Foundation again this year! Every dollar you give will be matched 100% by our benefactor up to $500,000. I hope you will sponsor this year’s ride!
Last year I wrote about Dudley and Robyn who are both fighting cancer and continuing treatments. Both Dudley and Robyn were initially diagnosed with later stage cancer. I am impressed by their courage, strength and positivity. Battling cancer is a tough, difficult journey with many ups and downs.
Which gets me to the point, EARLY DETECTION is the key to surviving cancer with the best quality of life. The common tests are for breast, cervical, colorectal, and prostate cancer. There are alternative tests available to detect other cancers, including Blood Tests (Complete Blood Count (CBC), Tumor Marker Blood Tests, Blood Protein Tests), Endoscopy Procedures, and Radiology (MRI, Ultrasound and X-Ray). Talk with your Doctor about the cancer tests available to you, and advocate fiercely for yourself. Stage 1 is much easier to treat than Stage 3.
Lastly: The Pan-Mass Challenge is very fundraising efficient with 100% of every rider-raised dollar going directly to Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. Adding our matching donation makes your donation go farther.
You can pledge your support in two ways:

Let’s do something today to remember the lives of those we have lost, and honor those who fight against cancer every day. We all know someone.
I hope I can count on your support!
