I cannot belive this will be my 17th year taking part in the Pan-Mass Challenge. PMC Weekend 2025 is August 2nd & 3rd. Last year, the PMC's slogan was: Be One in a Billion. At the end of this year's fundraising effort, the PMC raised over $1 Billion Dollars for the Dana Farber Cancer Institute. The funds are raised by riders and volunteers. With huge funding cuts to medical research, this year's event is even more important.
On PMC Weekend, Jim and I will be reunited with the Merchandise Team in Sturbridge, MassMaritime and Provincetown and I cannot wait!!!
For those of you that don't know, I ride, volunteer and raise funds in memory of my late husband, Barry who lost his battle with cancer at age 45. He's the motivation and my heart. But every year, more and more family members and friends have fought their own battles with cancer. I raise funds in their memory and in their names in the hope that we can fund enough research so that no one has to lose their loved ones to cancer.
Since 1980, the PMC has contributed over $1 billion to cancer research and treatment at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. 100% of every rider/volunteer-raised dollar goes directly to cancer research and treatment! It feels great to be a part of something so monumental and I HAVE ALL OF YOU TO THANK!
