My dad died of cancer in 2006 - at the age of 70. I never, ever, expected to loose him so soon.
He was my best friend, and I miss him dearly. There is not a day that goes by that I don't think of him, and wish I could consult with him on all the things we experience on this journey called life.
It has been some time since I have done a bike ride to raise funds for charity (my last one was the 545 mile ride from San Francisco to Los Angeles in 2012 for the AIDS Foundation). Many of you supported me for that ride, and I am hoping I can count on you again in 2025 for the Pan Mass Challenge - raising money this time to fund cancer research.
The PMC is a bike-a-thon that raises more money for charity than any other single athletic fundraising event in the country - to bring us Closer by the Mile to a cure for cancer.
Since its founding in 1980, PMC riders have raised more than $1 billion for lifesaving cancer research, treatment and patient care at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, one of the country's top cancer care hospitals. My PMC is making a difference in the lives of patients at Dana-Farber and around the world. The funds I raise support the innovative work of doctors, nurses, and scientists in their search for cures for cancers and related diseases.
100 percent of every dollar I raise goes directly to Dana-Farber, meaning that your donation has a real impact!
Please donate what you can towards my PMC fundraising goal - and thanks in advance from myself, and my dad.
