Dear Family, Friends and Colleagues,
On August 3rd and 4th, I am participating in my 2nd Pan-Mass Challenge (PMC) as a member of Team 3G and will ride my bike for a total of 167 miles from Wellesley to Provincetown, Massachusetts.
The PMC is a Massachusetts-based bike-a-thon that raises funds for the Dana Farber Cancer Institute (DFCI), a world leader in adult and pediatric cancer treatment and research. Each summer, thousands of riders participate in the PMC, and 100 percent of all rider-raised funds go directly to cancer research and treatment at DFCI and the Jimmy Fund. The PMC raises more money for charity than any other single athletic fundraising event in the country.
As a member of Team 3G, I will ride for the thousands of patients battling lung cancer, specifically my grandfather, one of the strongest men I have ever known. I watched him fight and lose his battle to lung cancer. I ride for him. In the past three years, Team 3G alone has raised over $1 million, the majority of which went to The Lowe Center for Thoracic Oncology at DFCI.
As a PMC rider, I am committed to raising a minimum of $6,000. I ask that you please join me by making a tax-deductible donation. Any amount would be greatly appreciated. Thank you very much in advance.
With gratitude,
Elizabeth
