Here we go again my friends!
A little over three years ago I told my Dad Tony that I would ride the Pan-Mass Challenge for him and for others battling cancer, and he said something memorable to me. "I won't be there to see you ride but Janice (His Wife & My Stepmother) will be up there with her tea and with the dogs to see you." My dad died a few weeks after that conversation and was not, as he said, there for the ride. Janice, however, was in the same spot at the same time with her tea and with the dogs, as my dad had predicted, to cheer us all on.
Now, preparing for my fourth PMC Ride, I think back to all of the support my dad offered to me and to everyone in his final days and it has motivated me to commit to the ride each year since he passed away.
