Welcome to my Pan-Mass Challenge page. I am excited and nervous about my commitment to make the 162-mile ride from Wellesley to Provincetown on August 3rd and 4th 2024.
All of us have been touched by cancer in some way or another. Some of us are luckier than others. I consider myself lucky.
I was diagnosed with colorectal cancer in 2019 while training for the NYC marathon. Finishing the NYC marathon after my diagnosis and between surgeries was my way of “beating” my cancer. Now, I want to raise money to help others beat cancer too.
I am lucky to be cancer free after 2 surgeries, lucky to have the opportunity to ride the 2024 PMC with my sister Jess and lucky to have the opportunity to help raise money to find cures to fight cancer for many others.
I also ride for my mom (beat breast cancer), father-in-law (prostate cancer) and too many friends and colleagues who are still fighting cancer and those who have lost the battle.
I am dedicated to the cause and will trade my running shoes this Summer to train on my bike. Training for 162 miles will be challenging and time-consuming – but I am committed to train, ride and raise money to fight to cure cancer. I ride in hopes that others will be as lucky as me.
I hope you will consider “riding with me” by sponsoring me with a donation – of which 100% will go directly to support Dana-Farber Cancer Institute's tireless commitment to finding that cure! Thank you in advance.
If you have any questions at all, please call or email me directly.
Love,
Liz
