I ride in honor of my brother Ethan, and the battle he fought and won... I ride for the obstacles he climbed over and the odds he beat. I ride in honor of all the children who took a stand to cancer... I ride in memory of the children who fought their hardest, but succumbed... I ride for anyone who has been impacted by cancer... This year I have committed, and I am riding for a cure.
I was seven when my five year old brother was diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia. After the chemotherapy and radiation, our youngest brother donated his bone marrow and saved Ethan’s life.
Watching Ethan in the hospital smile, scooter down the hallways, and watching all of the recoveries of the children during this time made me believe in miracles.
Ethan is my SUPERHERO along with any fighting child and the children of tragic defeats. I ride for miracles... I ride for healing... I ride to make a difference... I ride because fuck cancer.
I couldn’t be more excited to join my parents in their 10+ years of riding and Team SUPERHERO in the PMC, and any donations would be more than appreciated for my second year... All proceeds go to the Dana Farber Cancer Institute. Thank you everyone for your support.
