I'm a proud Bostonian. Our local institutions foster kindness and human decency while also leading the charge for innovation. Dana-Farber Cancer Institute is the epitome of this sentiment. It is a world leader in cancer research and treatment, and equally importantly, Dana-Farber partners with Harvard Medical School to ensure the continuity of high class medical treatment for generations to come. This year I will be cycling 107 miles in one day to support the real philanthropists - doctors, nurses, researchers, and patients who are on the front lines in a fight against cancer.
The first $1,500 that I raised has already been matched by KeepIt Financial, LLC, in memory of longtime friend Gail Horowitz, who passed away in May of ovarian cancer. I'm also partnering with the Israel Cycling Academy, Israel's first world class professional cycling team, to promote this important cause.
Dana-Farber and the Jimmy Fund have the highest possible rating on Charity Navigator, so you can be sure that your donation is making a difference and saving peoples lives. In fact, last year 100% of rider-raised revenue went directly to support the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute's tireless commitment to finding a cure.
I'm a proud supporter of the PMC because it is leading a charge to beat cancer. Thank you for joining me!
