To my People and my People’s People,
I am excited to share that on Sunday August 3rd, I am riding in the Living Proof 50-mile ride for PMC with Team Opa! Opa!!! I am jumping on the saddle alongside, and in honor of, Stacy Valhouli, a true fighter and living proof herself. In 2022, Stacy was diagnosed with stage four Hodgkin’s lymphoma. Stacy’s unwavering determination to survive, coupled with her incredible team at Dana Farber led to exciting news: CANCER FREE!!!
This is Stacy’s fourth PMC...yes she rode in 2022 WITH cancer!!!! Team Opa! Opa!!! has raised over 250k in the past three years with 100% of the proceeds going directly to Stacy’s team of doctors to further their research to find a cure for lymphoma and other blood cancers. Also, I should add, in 2022 they had the most individual donors in PMC history…which is to say EVERY BIT COUNTS towards making a difference!

2. Just because you aren’t riding PMC doesn’t mean you can’t join the Greek party and ride with Team Opa! Opa!!! Join the team by taking out the bike or hopping on the Pelly and going for a ride the weekend of August 3rd and send a picture our way! In the first year, Pete promised to throw a ripper of a party when treatment ended (we even auctioned off the name of the bar). However, my cancer and my body did not get the memo.
