Why do I ride? Simply put, cancer pisses me off.
My wife should have had her father at our wedding, my cousin should not have spent her 21st birthday at her mother's funeral, my friend should not be a widow at 35, and my co-worker should not have had to bury his child.
Individually each of these stories makes me sad; together they make me really angry. And it bugs me that people who have beat cancer worry that they've won the round, but the fight isn't over.
I know I'm not going to be the one to come up with a cure. But I can help raise the money that might enable someone to put this bastard of a disease in its grave. That's why I ride.
