Why I’m involved with the Pan-Mass Challenge
Cancer is not just a word in my life—it’s a wound, a scar, and a rallying cry. I’m involved with the Pan-Mass Challenge because I know, firsthand, the gut punch of a cancer diagnosis. I’ve felt the world stop spinning as a doctor delivers the news you never want to hear. I’ve watched loved ones fight with everything they have, and I’ve experienced the devastating, final blow when the disease wins.
That “fatal wallop” changed me forever. It left me with grief, yes, but also with a fierce determination to do something—anything—to help others avoid the same pain. The Pan-Mass Challenge gives me that chance. Every mile ridden is a tribute to those we’ve lost and a promise to those still fighting. It’s hope in motion.
I’m involved because I believe in a world where cancer is no longer a death sentence. I’m involved for the families who need more time, for the survivors who inspire us, and for the researchers who work tirelessly for a cure. I’m involved because I can, and because I must.
This journey is personal. It’s painful. But it’s also powerful. Together, through the Pan-Mass Challenge, we’re pedaling toward a future where cancer loses—and hope wins.
Since its founding in 1980, PMC riders have raised more than $1 billion for lifesaving cancer research, treatment and patient care at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, one of the country's top cancer care hospitals. My PMC is making a difference in the lives of patients at Dana-Farber and around the world. The funds I raise support the innovative work of doctors, nurses, and scientists in their search for cures for cancers and related diseases.
100 percent of every dollar I raise goes directly to Dana-Farber, meaning that your donation has a real impact! Please donate to my PMC fundraising and help me reach my fundraising goal.
I will be forever appreciative of your support! Let’s BEAT CANCER together!
Thanks!
