Hi Everyone!

It's been a rainy summer here so far (rain 16 out of 18 days in July!) making training for the Pan-Mass Challenge, well...a challenge! But Cancer isn't giving up so I'm not either. In just a few short weeks I'll be riding in my 7th PMC. So far, including the year I took off to run the Boston Marathon, together we have collectively raised OVER $50,000 to combat cancer! I am so thankful and humbled by all of your support. Most of you know I ride in honor of my Mom Rita. As an added incentive, this year I will be riding with a team that also rides for a Pedal Partner: Ellie.

Ellie has been battling Cancer since New Years Eve 2019 when they found a tumor in her spine (she stopped walking the day before out of nowhere). She has been in treatment (chemo, immunotherapy, radiation, inhibitors) for the past 16 months, received clear scans on March 26th and finished HER LAST ROUND OF CHEMO 5/30/2021! She will have scans now every 3 months for the next 2 years starting at the end of this month.

One of the most moving aspects of the PMC is riding alongside cancer survivors, and seeing the many pictures of kids like Ellie placed all along the route. Riding into many of the water stops is a teary affair seeing all of these young kids battling this terrible disease. I'm honored to continue to ride for all of us and for anyone who has been affected by cancer.
