Hi! THANK YOU SO MUCH for finding your way here. Please donate as generously as you can. Together, WE proactively save and prolong lives. As life offers its ups and downs, expected course and curveballs, WE STILL RIDE.
I ride for Randy.
I ride for my dad.
I ride for Jane.
I ride for Scott's sister Nicole.
I ride for the all the Pedal Partners (children who are alive today because of Dana Farber)
I ride for Brady (my deceased brother's infant patient who Randy courageously and compassionately treated)
I ride for all friends and families so we can see our loved ones reach their potential.
Please dig down deep and donate.
Gratitude and love WILL win the day!
Debbie

Hello to my family and good friends,
I hope this summer of 2024 finds you well and enjoying many wonderful moments.
Without shyness, I am asking you to donate to the Dana Farber Cancer Institute through the PMC (Pan Mass Challenge) bike-a-thon and my upcoming participation in it.
What a year it has been for me personally! Retiring after 36 years of teaching high school mathematics, getting MARRIED to my wonderful Scott (artfully and heartfully officiated by Randy’s daughter, my niece Emily), and... turning the big SIX-OH on June 21st! Our wedding was beautiful and underscored the importance of spending time with family and friends. While our families were with us in our backyard as we exchanged vows and rings, others dear to us were absent because of cancer, most recently my dad and Scott’s sister. The cruelty and injustice of cancer persists, and I am committed to do my part to help those living with it and ultimately squash it.
I will be joining the thousands of other cyclists fired up to raise funds for Dana Farber Cancer Institute. My team, Team Kermit, specifically channels its donations to the Jared Branfman Sunflowers for Life Fund, Pediatric Brain & Spinal - which supports the work of researchers (we’ve met and heard these incredible doctors speak of discoveries, breakthroughs, and advances).
This year, in addition to riding, I will also be volunteering by driving a support vehicle with biking repair supplies as Team Kermit pedals 75 miles from Newton to Sturbridge on what has been dubbed Day Zero (the ride before the ride).
Amidst your busy summers and own consternations,, please take a deep breath to create space to recognize and acknowledge all of your blessings…. I will be channeling my inner Randy as I push through my own physical discomfort in a few weeks knowing that every mile and every dollar helps. I’ve seen it.
With as much love and gratitude as ever,
Debbie
