Why I Ride ...
While some may think that 170 miles on an uncomfortable bike seat while enjoying some quality father-son bonding time is a good enough reasons to ride the PMC, I have found other reasons to ride. In 1997, my Grandmother died from breast cancer, leaving behind two grandchildren that saw her leave too soon. Since that time, three new grandchildren have entered the family, but all have missed the opportunity to know an amazing woman. They will not get to experience those hot New Jersey beach days where Grandma would aid us on our mission to build a sand castles that could withstand the rising tide. I ride for the memory of my grandmother and all the experiences and memories she has missed because her life was cut short by this terrible disease.
