2025 Pan Mass Challenge!
Volunteering at the Wellesley site this year and riding! 2024 I was one of the many that brought the PMC over the $1 Billion (yes, billion with a B!). I was humbled by the generosity of those who have supported me since 2016. I certainly know from colleagues, friends and family how the research and treatments at Dana Farber have far reaching impact. It is wonderful to be part of it.
2025 will be a trying year for many, though PMC is the "steady" that brings so many people from all over, together, for one cause; to raise money for Dana Farber Cancer Institute.
My long time pal Maria, who, by our visits to Dana Farber, started me on my journey of participating in PMC is with me, every step of the way and in every stroke of my pedals. It was a walk down the "PMC corridor" that made my wheels turn, my mind thinking...this is perhaps something I could do, maybe? With the help of my dear generous friends, the Powers, who actually gave me the $ to buy my used road bike--I was off and riding--and love it. That was 9 years ago. I'm still pedaling for PMC!
The Pan Mass Challenge for me is remember people, past and present, who have lost their battle-and those still living with cancer and those that have been cured. For the families and friends that are forever changed due illness and loss. You are with me when I ride. Even some of the patients and families I have met through the hospital I work at, I know that what PMC really matters.
I stand proudly, as a PMCer now and for the rest of my days to raise money for Dana Farber Cancer Institute. The money raised isn't just kept here in Boston, Massachusetts. The research, discoveries and trials are shared from coast to coast, country to country. Your donation impacts everyone, from all over.
Please join me in 2025's Pan Mass Challenge to raise funds for Dana Farber. Every penny and every dollar goes directly to Dana Farber. Donate online on this site, or through my Facebook fundraiser.
This year, as I continue the tradition of volunteering for PMC weekend and riding--once again, I ask you to come on along for the ride as we start on our next billion!
Thank you, from the bottom of my heart for your support, this year and for all the years my crew has seen me through to my fundraising goal!
With every best wish to each one of you reading this,
Debra Overland
