I'm riding in memory of my father, who was a patient at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute after he was diagnosed with stage IV pancreatic cancer. While the prognosis was grim, Dana-Farber instilled so much hope in him that he would beat the odds; hope that he earnestly believed. Through experimental treatments, we were able to have a few more months together. None of it which would have been possible without the pioneering reasearch by Dana-Farber, supported through causes like the PMC. Although it may not seem like much, that additional time meant everything. Even in with the darkest of prognoses, there is always some hope.
